I've got to apologize to my readers. One week into this feature and I've already had to cop out on a day, and am late doing it. I fully meant to tie something and photograph it last night but to be completely honest, I simply ran out of time. I could blame it on my inabilities as a tyer but frankly this time I think it was the materials. I just couldn't get a chunk of hair to get the wing to lay straight - all of them curved.
So, instead, here is a video of how to tie the fly I was trying - The Stimulator (Video hosted by a great site that's run by a great angler, The Anglers Net).
Hook: TMC 200r
Body: Dubbing
Rib: Dry Fly HackleWing: Elk Hair
Thorax: Dubbing
