Daily Fly Splat - 08/20/2008

Today's fly is one of the first dry flies I learned how to tie. Its the parachute variation of an absolute classic and also the fly that I caught the first fish of 2008 on.

The venerable, Parachute Adams

Here are a bunch that I tied up over the winter. Estute readers will notice that they are tied wrong - no dubbing under the parachute or at the head.

theres is no wrong...just qualify it as an adams "variant" or "variation"...if it catches fish, it is indisputibly tied "right"

I'll call it the Big Head Parachute Adams Variant. I like variant better than variation - sounds more official.
